CASE 11 / BAKER STREET MYSTERIES
A trap
in Norwood.
An unexpected inheritance. A fire at night.
Evidence that was not there yesterday.
Every clue points to a young solicitor.
Holmes and Watson ask who arranged such a convenient story.
Based on “The Adventure of the Norwood Builder” by Arthur Conan Doyle. Original dialogue, illustrations and documents; the solution follows the original story. No prior knowledge is needed. If you already know the ending, become an assistant to new detectives.
About the adaptation and source
We have retained the main plot and characters in our own adaptation of Doyle’s story. Some information from the ending is revealed earlier so that you can solve the case yourself; this is indicated in the files. An accusation of murder, a staged death and a fire, without graphic descriptions. The dialogue is original, rather than quotations from a modern translation. The original English story at Project Gutenberg contains the solution.
